GRIEF AND THE HOLIDAYS
With Dr. Ursula Weide Licensed Psychologist Certified Thanatologist (Bereavement and Grief Specialist) Have you wondered how to cope with grief during the holidays, or how to help a loved one or a friend? I would like to invite you to a FREE workshop on “Grief and the Holidays." I will discuss the definition of grief, the differences between traumatic bereavement and loss, what the holidays can bring for the bereaved, how to prepare for this emotional time of the year, and make suggestions for the development of lasting skills to cope with grief. We will also discuss how to help a special person this coming year. As you know, I lost a young husband. My own experiences after bereavement are still vivid in my mind, and I hope to be able to help grievers do better than I did. Times have changed, and we know so much more about grief today which I would like to share with you. The workshop will take place on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2007 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA, 22032, from 10-12 P.M.
